1. eve Sleep

Fighting fit in the mattress-in-a-box industry, eve Sleep has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2015. The founders have proven their business acumen, securing investment and drawing up ambitious growth plans to evolve outside of super-comfy mattresses. Its success can be seen in the numbers: eve Sleep has increased revenues by 355% from £2.6m in 2016 to £12m in 2017 and the team has grown to 80 staff. They now sell to an impressive ten countries. Definitely one to keep watching.

2. Flight Club

Bringing the game of darts bang up to date, Flight Club in Shoreditch has proved a resounding success. Dazzling guests with impressive technology, playing darts will never be the same again. What’s more, the restaurant and bar alongside the gaming have made this quirky start up a go-to London destination. So it’s unsurprising that there are plans to open more Flight Clubs up and down the country.

3. Perkbox

In January 2015, Perkbox founders Saurav Chopra and Chieu Cao spotted a weakness in the employee incentive market. Since then, it’s been fulfilling its mission to increase workplace happiness, engage teams and boost motivation through providing a mix of employee rewards. Perkbox has even earned a spot in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For index in 2017.

4. tails.com

Launched by a group of dog lovers in 2014, tails.com has truly shaken up the dog food market, earning it the number 4 spot in the index. Offering tailor-made food that’s personalised to each dog, it’s no wonder dog owners have gone crazy over this start up, with tails.com boasting an impressive 65,000 customers.

5. Simba Sleep

Founders of Simba Sleep claim their mattresses are the world’s most advanced. Despite operating in the fiercely competitive mattress market with startsup.co.uk winner, Eve, and US heavyweight, Casper, Simba Sleep is forging ahead, having secured £17.5m in funding since launching in 2016.
